Welcome to the Jefferson County Council on Aging website.
We are an advocacy group of volunteers whose mission is to identify and address the needs, concerns, and issues of older adults in Jefferson County, Colorado. Jefferson County Council on Aging (JCCoA) was formed in 1974, and is the longest operating and largest county council on aging in Colorado.

JCCoA is comprised of many dedicated volunteers including, older adults, service providers, senior organizations, and representatives of governmental agencies. We are very proud of our relationship with the Denver Regional Council of Governments, an organization that provides valuable resources to support our mission.

While assessing the needs of older adults and identifying gaps in service, the county council members encourage cooperation and coordination among agencies and groups working on behalf of older adults. Council members review and comment on issues and legislation affecting older adults and recommend service priorities to the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners.

Please take time to browse our site. You will find information on how to become a member of the council, see what committee you could be an active part of, and find out who is participating in the council. You may enjoy seeing photos of JCCoA special events or reading minutes of past JCCoA council meetings. Our Senior Links page has helpful resources for those who are seniors or caregivers of an older adult.
